Drawing Workshop – Saturday 27th June 10am-1pm
Environmental artist, Emily @weagreeoneggs, will guide you through a set of activities to explore your own artistic style, using the therapeutic gardens at Lothlorien as inspiration. Throughout the workshop you will be using foraged art materials handmade by Old Mill Arts. Open to everyone over 18, from beginners who are looking for new ways to find creative wellbeing, to seasoned artists who would enjoy time in the garden experimenting with a new materials and meeting creative folk. This workshop aims to inspire you to continue to keep drawing as part of your own creative wellness, with this in mind you will be given a sketchbook to take home. Sketch-booking can act as a visual diary; helping develop a sense of self and place, as you observe and connect with the world around you. Emily will bring some sketchbook examples, and you are also welcome to bring your own sketch-books or drawings to share with the group.

Permaculture Herb Bed Design Workshop
This session will introduce you to the design principles and practices of permaculture with Lusi Alderslowe—a holistic approach to designing regenerative systems that harmonise with nature. This workshop will explore permaculture zones and sectors. Together, we will design an area of the land for growing herbs, discussing where to locate it, and which plants to put where. Then create a herb bed ready to be planted out in the spring.
Herbal Medicine Walk & Talk
A walk and talk around Lothlorien’s garden with medical herbalist Sarah Jane Scouten Sarah Jane trained as a medical herbalist at Betonica School of Herbal Medicine and is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. She practices, forages and grows herbal medicine in Moniaive and at Napiers the Herbalists in Glasgow.

Join Abi from Propagate for this 3 hour workshop digging into the world of compost. Using Lothlorien’s composting system as an example we’ll explore microbes, fermentations, what makes ‘good’ compost and more.
